Christian Ladies of Collinsville Welcome you!

Christian Ladies of Collinsville Welcome you!
In the fall of 1992, almost 16 years ago, a small group of women began meeting to pray. Names and faces have changed, but the purpose has remained the same. This is the fifth year that God has Blessed our group by offering us to host a Spring "Retreat - where women all over Alabama and even other states can come together, worship together and minister to each other.
C.L.C. is a group of women from different backgrounds and churches who meet regularly to pray for families, churches, schools, businesses, organizations and the many races and cultures in our community, as well as concerns for our county, state, nation and world. Nothing is too hard for God and nothing is too insignificant. If you have attended past retreats, you know that throughout the year we are in prayer for those requests that you have shared with us. We welcome the privilege of praying for you.
We invite you to join us for noonday Bible study and prayer the third Thursday of each month, January through May and September through November. There are also special activities during the summer months.
Thank you for the gift of your time today. We hope you will consider it well spent. May the peace of Christ and the passion and power of His Love make an eternal difference in your life. If you have already accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior and are daily walking with him, our prayer is that the retreat will help you in becoming more effective in "Sowing Seeds for Jesus".

How to Become a Christian The your Spiritual Laws
1) God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life. God's Love (John 3:16) God's Plan (John 10:10)
2) Man is sinful and separated from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God's love and plan for his life. Man Is Sinful (Romans 3:23) Man Is Separated (Romans 6:23)
3) Jesus Christ is God's only provision for man's sin. Through Him you can know and experience God's love and plan for your Life. He Died in Our Place (Romans 5:8) He Rose from the Dead (1Cor 15:3-6) He Is the Only Way to God (John 14:6)
4) We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God's Love and plan for our lives. We must receive Christ (John 1:12) We Receive Christ through faith (Ephesians 2:8,9) When we receive Christ, We Experience a New Birth (John 3:1-8) We Receive Christ through personal invitation.
The following is a suggested prayer: Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person you want me to be.

The Lost Coin: Today's Reminder!
The story of the lost coin is still significant today because we can all identify with its timeless relevance. How frustrating to lose or misplace even a small item! It seems like after every retreat, something is lost... Perhaps these tips will help: Consider placing your goody bag (and even your purse) in your car trunk, not in your car seat! (Out of sight!) Then if you make a yard sale purchase or win a door prize, into the trunk they will go also. You can always retrieve a bit of currency for the love offering or yard sale purchase as needed, or simply put it in your pocket. We want everyone to return home with a full heart, full belly, a full car trunk, and all of your belongings! The CLC Ladies

They are members of Siberton Baptist Church, in Attalla where Oscar serves as Sunday School Director and Bonnie serves as church librarian. In addition, she currently serves as president of the Second Milers, a senior group at the church. Inspiration
|

A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soiL It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no roots. Other seed fell among the thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop - a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown... Matthew 13:3-9
The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field... Matthew 13:24
The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field... Matthew 13:31
The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The fieldis the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom... Matthew 13:37
The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field... Matthew 13:44
I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow... 1 Corinthians 3:6
Because you have so little faith: I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain Move from here to here and it will move. Nothing is impossible for you... Matthew 17:20
